The Preparation Program at Prince Mohammad Bin Fahd University is established to act as a bridge between high school and college, specifically in English Language learning. Most students graduating from high school where Arabic is predominantly the language of instruction will be moving into an academic program within the university in which English is the medium of instruction and are therefore not able to make this transition without additional English language instruction. In addition to this, the Program will focus on those social and ethical skills that will prepare each one for college.
Those students who enter at the intermediate level will need to complete that level and move up to the advanced level. This may take up to a year. Entry at a lower level may take up to a year and a half or up to two years or more. The length of time within the Preparation Program will depend largely on the effort that students put into their courses which include English, Mathematics, Study Skills, and TOEFL preparation.
Our faculty are all native speakers of English and come with degrees or certification in CELTA or ESL and most have a broad background of experience teaching English. They all have certain skills that have to be taught and these will largely keep you busy learning, yet at the same time they make every effort to make learning an enjoyable experience.
