Dr. Al Ansari is a graduate of King Saud University in Riyadh where he specialized in English Language Studies. He later obtained his Masters Degree from Pittsburgh University in the United States, and his PhD from Southampton University in England.
His academic pursuits never stopped but continued on to in an exceptional academic and public career. Before becoming Rector of Prince Mohammed University, Al Khobar, KSA, Dr. Al Ansari was Dean of the College of Technology in Dammam,KSA. He continues to serves as a member of the Board of Directors of the educational services company “Taleem”. Additionally, Dr. Issa is the author of many educational publications that range from articles, to research papers and studies, as well as a book entitled “From Education to Work ……… Youth Training and Employment”.           

Dr. Al Ansari has made many notable contributions in serving the local community as Supervisor General of Prince Mohammad Bin Fahd Program for Youth Development, and as Chairman of the Educational and Social Committee in the Eastern Province Council in which he serves as member. At the national level, Dr. Al Ansari is a member of the Committee of Prince Mohammad Bin Fahd Prize for Scientific Distinction; and is the Secretary General of the Social Rehabilitation Committee and the Community Development Council in the Eastern Province Governorate.

Dr. Issa Al Ansari is continually involved involvement in local and international conferences and symposia. His memberships in international associations include the International Association for Teaching English as a Second Language in Britain (IATEFL), the Australian Association for Instructors Training and the American Association for Technical Education. He was selected as a member of the well-known Who's Who.         

In 2006 he became the private counselor of His Royal Highness Prince Mohammad Bin Fahd Bin Abdul Aziz, Governor of the Eastern Province.
