On October 10, 2009, HM Ambassador Sir William Patey KCGM, visited Prince Mohammad Bin Fahd University (PMU) to address PMU students, faculty and staff as part of the International Distinguished Speakers Series Program. The UK Ambassador gave a lecture entitled “21st Century Partnership: the UK and the Middle East”. His insights added significant value to students’ learning as they prepare to become future global leaders.

Sir William Patey KCGM has been the British Ambassador to Saudi Arabia since 2007. Before this appointment, he was appointed Ambassador to Sudan in 2002 and Ambassador to Iraq in 2005 (http://ukinsaudiarabia.fco.gov.uk).
