A delegation from the University of Amsterdam visited Prince Mohammad University (PMU) on October 20, 2009 to discuss joint collaboration in the area of Social and Behavioral Sciences. The visit was sponsored by the kingdom’s Ministry of Higher Education.
The University of Amsterdam belongs to the League of European Research Universities and is the only Dutch university ranked among the top 50 universities in the world, joining Harvard University, Cambridge University and Yale University, which occupy the leading positions. In addition to Social Sciences, the University ranks in the top 100 in natural Sciences, Life Sciences and Medicine, followed by strong Engineering and IT faculties. Leading the delegation to PMU was Professor Paul Aarts, an expert in international relations.
