Dr. Janet E. Breslin-Smith (pictured center-right) visited Prince Mohammad Bin Fahd University (PMU) on March 2, 2010, accompanied by staff members of the U.S. Embassy in Riyadh and the U.S. Consulate General in Dhahran.
Dr. Breslin-Smith, an expert in international relations and political sciences, has a distinguished career in the U.S. Congress where she worked with several U.S. Senators and was the legislative manager for a number of international trade, commodity and nutrition programs, and helped rewrite the law governing international food aid. A graduate from the University of California- Los Angeles (UCLA), Dr. Breslin-Smith has made significant contributions to academia by bringing her extensive Congressional experience to the classroom. Dr. Janet Breslin-Smith is married to H.E. James B. Smith, current U.S. Ambassador to Saudi Arabia.
