Al-Khobar; Kingdom of Saudi Arabia: "Growth is life, looking back in anger is pessimism," urged the Rector of Prince Mohammad bin Fahd university (PMU), Dr. Issa Al-Ansari to first batch of graduating students in an informal get together inside PMU campus. This pre-convocation address was an interaction between the Rector and graduating students besides those to graduate in the coming sessions. It kept them abreast of the general guidelines before their participation in final event - the Big Day when they will be awarded degrees.
Dr. Al-Ansari spent quality time with 224 male students. Most students put queries before the Rector who listened to each and every concern attentively. "The Governor of the Eastern Province and the Chairman, PMU Board of Directors, HRH Prince Mohammad bin Fahd has felt pleasure after being informed of the Graduation Day event in which 572 students will be awarded degrees," he said.
"Such initiatives are motivational in all respects," said Mr. Omar Elmoussa, Director of Student Affairs at PMU. He said that this gesture of PMU Rector is pivotal to resolve many concerns of the student's fraternity as the interaction focuses at the interests of graduating students including 270 female students who are to be awarded degrees in the Graduation Day the sooner.
Dr. Al-Ansari stressed upon the role of PMU in nourishing talents with professional training and education. "The outcome will be in the form of suitable placement of students who are groomed by experienced faculties who keep the need of labor market under consideration," he stressed. He briefed about the soon to be organized Graduation Day event for which preparation has already begun, and he also gave an overview of the participating dignitaries consented to grace the occasion.
"Main attribute of PMU which differentiates it from the rest Saudi Arabian universities is integrated education system which prepares future generations to accept challenges ahead," said Dr. Al-Ansari.
"We will begin to reap the fruits of all efforts done since PMU's inception from the graduation of first batch as installment of such rewards," he emphasized. "PMU educates and trains its students to become skilled professionals. It helps them dominate in each sector with best spirits." Dr. Al-Ansari also stressed about the importance of Graduation Day in the lives of every PMU student.
He shed light on the vision and mission of PMU and the practical steps taken ever which bring this university in the path of excellence.
