The College of Engineering and Intuitional Relations organized a seminar and workshop entitled Sustainable Energy Day at PMU on Tuesday November 12th, 2013. The event is part of PMU and Areva partnership in support of King Abdulla City for Nuclear and Renewable Energy (K.A.CARE). Areva is a global leader French nuclear and renewable energy company. Dr. Jamal Nayfeh and Engineer Amr AlOtiashan of Areva introduced PMU male and female students and faculty to the Kingdom’s strategic energy generation from sources other than oil. PMU and Areva will sponsor students to receive abroad training as interns as of summer 2014. Joint outreach educational, training and research activities are planned as part of a PMU and Areva and select French companies and universities Memorandum of Understanding (MOU).
