Program Description

The Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering (MSME) at Prince Mohammad Bin Fahd University (PMU) is aspires to play a leading role in developing a paradigm shift in the technological development in the Eastern Province of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. It will provide a unique and distinguished academic educational experience that will allow our students to:

1. Acquire a breadth of knowledge across various Mechanical Engineering disciplines.
2. Develop analytical skills, understanding, confidence, and language to influence strategy at all levels of the engineering organization.
3. Enhance participants’ communication, leadership and teamwork skills so they can make an impact in engineering organizations and advance in their careers.
4. Equip participants with the competencies needed to recognize and solve problems found in today's dynamic engineering environment.
5. Emphasize cross-disciplinary integration of subjects, such as the key linkages between thermo-fluids and mechanical systems.
6. Develop advanced leadership and team-building skills for management in dynamic organizations.
7. Recognize and evaluate ethical, legal, and regulatory dimensions of engineering decisions.
