ABOUT GFII 2024!


Prince Mohammad Bin Fahd University (PMU) and United Arab Emirates University (UAEU), in collaboration with Florida Atlantic University (USA) are organizing the 1st International Conference on:
Green and Digital Finance and Investment Initiatives: With a Focus on Diversifying Strategies in GCC and Beyond (GFII 2024).

GFII 2024 is a leading conference on Green finance, seeking to boost financial flows (including banking, microcredit, insurance, and investment) from the public, private, and non-profit sectors toward sustainable development goals. It brings together academic leaders to a forum for discussing initiatives to enhance the business the environment, build infrastructure, expand financing for businesses especially small and medium-sized firms (SMEs) and enhance educational outcomes among various other factors.

GFII 2024 will be held on PMU Campus, in the beautiful city of Khobar, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, from December 2nd to 3rd, 2024.

The conference will be face-to-face, with an available option for online participation.

Conference Objective


The objective of the conference is to bring together academic researchers, educators, doctoral students and practitioners from various international institutions to focus on contemporary financial issues and research findings pertaining to Green Finance and Investment Initiatives (GFII). With a focus on diversification strategies in GCC and beyond. The role of emerging and developing economies engaged in transitioning towards low-carbon economies.

The conference is structured around a number of thematically focused sessions. This conference offers two options. Full research articles in the fields of accounting, finance, strategy and economics are invited from academicians, researchers, doctoral students, and practitioners.

In consultation with the Editors-in-Chief, authors of the best conference papers will be invited to submit their papers to fast track reviewing process for one of the following journals:

Papers Development Status


PhD Sessions (Full papers): PhD students with completed papers, which includes literature review and statistics or models, can send by email: GFII2024@pmu.edu.sa. The GFII Conference will organize normal sessions only with PhD students (with national and international participation), promoting the opportunity to discuss their research and increase the network.




Doctoral Tutorial (Incomplete Papers)


The GFII Conference also organizes a tutorial for PhD students. We encourage PhD students to submit research proposals, or preliminary drafts, for one of their PhD essays and related to all the finance, economics and accounting areas. The Doctoral Tutorial will be chaired by a distinguished top Finance/Economics professor and leading academicians who will provide the comments on the dissertation research.
