A delegation from the U.S. National Council of State Legislators visited Prince Mohammad...

A delegation from the U.S. National Council of State Legislators visited Prince Mohammad Bin Fahd University (PMU) on 3rd November 2009. The high level delegation included government elected officials from the states of: Kansas, South Dakota, Hawaii, New York, Maryland, Indiana, Iowa, Alaska, Delaware, Oklahoma, Wisconsin and Oregon. They were hosted by Dr. Issa Al Ansari, PMU Rector; Dr. Nassar Shaikh, Vice Rector for Academic Affairs, and senior members of the PMU executive team. The delegation learned and expressed their admiration for the modern learning environment that PMU offers to young Saudi men and women. The visitors also shared the positive impressions they had gathered after visiting Riyadh and the Eastern Province, and were particularly interested in fostering collaboration between higher education institutions in their states and PMU.

The U.S. National Council of State Legislators is a bipartisan organization that serves the legislators of the 50 states of the United States of America, its commonwealths and territories (http://www.ncsl.org/).

PMU is the first private university in the Eastern Province of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia currently enrolling 2,000 students. Applying state-of-the-art technology to education, PMU offers twelve degrees in the areas of business, engineering and information technology to Saudi men and women, and international students, including an Executive MBA program for local professionals.
