Rank Confirmation:
1. Academic Rank: Based on the academic rank presented at the time of appointment (evidence and documentation as per PMU Policy), Faculty may receive working ranks either of Full Professor, Associate Professor, or Assistant Professor to reflect their qualifications and professional experiences and to acknowledge the level of accomplishment achieved by the individual
2. Rank Upon Formal Promotion Cases:
2.1 Formal promotion letters are required to be considered as Associate or Full Professor ranks. Promotion should have followed formal channels through scientific assessment by institutional Scientific Councils/ Committees
2.2 Requirements: Relevant documentation of the rank promotion process that have been part of the process such as:
a. Promotion letter from the rank of Assistant – Associate – Full Professor assessed through the specified relevant Committees / Scientific Councils and signed by HR/ Faculty Affairs/ Provost/ President; Rank promotion to be granted in the same University
b. Contract letter stating the promotion
3. Rank Upon Appointment Cases:
3.1 Cases where ranks are granted upon appointment, and where the appointment from previous University has issued and signed by higher authorities that include HR/ Faculty Affairs/ Provost/ President
3.2 Ranks that are accepted upon appointment will be titled as follows:
Rank / Position Title (as per the latest rank at the home institution)
3.3 Requirements: Relevant documentation of the rank appointment process that have been part of the process such as:
c. Appointment Letter signed by HR/ Faculty Affairs/ Provost/ President.
d. Assessment Letter signed by HR/ Faculty Affairs/ Provost/ President.
e. Confirmation Letter signed by HR/ Faculty Affairs/ Provost/ President.
f. An English translated copy certified by authorized translation agency.
g. An English certified copy issued and signed by HR/ Faculty Affairs/ Provost/ President.
