Purpose

To declare PMU guidelines with regards to Resignation and ensure uniform interpretation and application of this policy.


Statement

Any resignation by any employee must be in accordance with the notice requirements in the individual employee’s Employment Contract. Failure to comply with the notice requirements will attract penalties on the employee. Normally, the use of vacation credits towards the notice period requirements is not acceptable. However, in exceptional circumstances, this may be possible. This decision requires approval by the President.
