Purpose

This policy will clarify the conditions for taking academic courses with their prerequisites courses.

Statement

Students should carefully adhere to their academic programs in order to successfully arrive at their curriculum plan. Failure to follow such requirements may place a student at academic risk. Students may only take their prerequisite courses in the following circumstances.

  1. A graduating student in his/her last semester (with only an internship in the next semester) is eligible to register concurrently in all the remaining courses and its prerequisite(s) with the approval of the Department Chair and Dean, and the Dean of Student Affairs.
  2. When the only remaining prerequisite is Math 1324 (Calculus III) or (Circuit Lab EEEN2111), a student may register for courses that require the above two prerequisites with the approval of the Department Chair and Dean, and the Dean of Student Affairs.
