Purpose

This policy clarifies the student’s eligibility criteria to attend the graduation ceremony.

Statement

The student eligibility to attend the graduation ceremony is based on the below criteria:

- The student is considered eligible to attend the graduation ceremony if the remaining credits to graduate are 35 credits or less by the beginning of the seventh week of each Fall Semester. (Considering that the student will pass all his/her courses in the Fall semester, and will pass all the IP & I Grades).

Procedure
Procedure :

1.      By the beginning of the seventh week of each Fall Semester, the Registrar’s office generates a list of all students with 35 remaining credits to graduate with all the needed information (except for the Arabic name and the personal e-mail address that will be obtained from the career services department).

2.      The Registrar’s office will send the generated list to the career services department who will communicate with the eligible students to confirm if they will attend the graduation ceremony.

3.      The career services department will exclude the students who confirm that they will not attend the graduation ceremony and will keep them in separated list.

4.      The list will be presented and confer by the University Council by the beginning of the ninth week of the semester.

5.      After submission of the Fall final grades, the registrar’s office will provide the career services department with the updated CGPA including honors.
