Dr. Mohamed is the Manager of the Learning Resources Center (LRC) & Manager of Professional Development Center (PDC) of Prince Mohammad Bin Fahd University. He manages the learning resource facilities and provides comprehensive library and information service. His diverse aims are to enhance the academic curriculum and academic resources. To ensure appropriate access to learning resources and promote LRC service. His responsibilities include the management of PDC provide the virtual tour guides, motivators, professional development, and support on-boarding and ongoing PMU internal professional learning.
Previously, he was a faculty member at the Deanship of Research. In this capacity, he had assisted the Dean of research in the preparation and implementation of the strategic plan for scientific research at the PMU. He was involved in creating an annual report of the PMU research accomplishments from Scopus & ISI. He was the Assistant Manager of PMU Science and Technology Unite and therefore, performed follow-up research funded by King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology (KACST). Also, he managed and contributed to the development of collaborative efforts to deliver critical Digital repository services for the Prince Mohammad Bin Fahd University.
Dr. Mohamed was a researcher in the department of research and studies at Qatar Foundation for production and social rehabilitation; an Assistant professor of Information and Library Science at Sudanese Universities; a lecturer at Qatar University; and an information specialist, information literacy team leader, and lead archivist in Qatar State. Dr. Mohammed is a self-motivated and hardworking professional with experience in all aspects of the library & information sector. He has experience in teaching information literary courses and library sessions. Importantly, he has trained professionals in academic libraries and information centers for the past 20 years.
Dr. Mohamed has received his Ph.D. in Digital Assets Management from Khartoum University in 2009 and M.A in Information Science and Library studies. Dr. Mohamed is a member of IFLA, MELA, and Arab federation for library and information (AFLI). He is a member of the Special Library Association– Gulf Chapter (SLA), the International Council on Archives (ICA), and Sudan library association SALI.
Dr. Mohamed has published numerous articles on Library and Information Science with high impact factor journals. He has more than 20 conference proceedings papers and he has presented 12 papers at national and international conferences.
