The PMU Chess Club has supported the Social Association “Sanad”, which supports children with Cancer. Our Chess Club invited children from all walks of life in the community, to animate and enrich their young lives by both learning something new and educationally beneficial, and enjoying participating in a social activity in Dammam.
Chess club members taught children how to play chess, and organized chess games during a 2 day event, packed with learning opportunities, and the chance to make new friends in a stimulating and safe environment. Chess players who learn the game at a young age are almost always excellent students throughout their lives, because of the intellectual stimulation. Playing chess is so much better for children than playing with their smartphones!! The event’s profits will be used entirely to support this noble cause, which is improving the lives of young Cancer sufferers, and providing for their medical needs.
The contribution which PMU students made was much appreciated by the visitors, and organizers as well.
Well done the PMU Chess Club!
