PMU always support the students with many events in order to develop their talent and keep them active and this is what makes our university special.
The Idea of having a Smoke free run is to help smokers to quit, a study has shown that people who exercise are able to quit smoking by 50%; moreover, Running improves endurance and aerobic fitness levels.

On the end of the Wellness Day, more than one Hundred of PMU Students, Faculty and Staff decided to say NO to smoking and ran around the campus a distance of 2 miles.
Water stations were available on the track, and all the participants received a medal for achieving the run.

This run was organized by the Running Club, under the supervision of the Division of Student Affairs and in close partnership with the Department of Physical Education at PMU.

As per the results: Instructor Omar Serigne Nicolas came first, followed by instructor Jason Isaac for the second place and student Jassim Abu Bakr for the third place.
At the end of the run, participants were congratulated by Vice Rector Dr. Muhammad Al Mulhem and Director Iyad Badr

An award ceremony will be organized tomorrow at 12:00noon in the Lecture Hall to reward the winners.

  11. All the students who participated as runners or as volunteers and who secured the water station, the course and managed the Finish Line, especially the PE students.
  12. All the PE faculty who encouraged their students to participate
